Course Description : | At the end of the second semester the first year students can take the French Proficiency Test (FPT). Those who pass the test should be able to follow the second year courses which will be taught entirely in French. Those who do not pass the test or opt not to take it take Intensive French which is meant to fill the gap between first year general language courses and second year more specialized courses. In Intensive French the student has to acquire the language proficiency to be able to follow the second year courses. For this reason, Intensive French will focus on listening and speaking. The student must have passed the Proficiency Test or Intensive French as a prerequisite for Listening and Reading Comprehension I (5102213) and Oral Skills (5102217). |
